A busy family of five moved into their home over 10 years ago and needed updates in multiple rooms.
This client asked for a kitchen backsplash install, a paint refresh of their open-concept kitchen and family room, some improved storage in their laundry room/garage entrance, and an update to their small powder room. Matt & Nat helped them select a backsplash tile for the kitchen, and recommended paint colours, wall paneling and a vibrant wallpaper feature wall for the family room. The laundry room included wall panels and wallpaper plus some new hooks for easy access to coats on the way in and out of the house - and a custom storage centre is in the plan for phase-2 in 2025. The small powder room received the same paint colour as the other rooms, for flow, with one wallpaper wall for visual interest.
Overall, the family was delighted with the changes - delivered on-time and on-budget by Matt & Nat!

The family room facelift
The family room and kitchen were an open-concept space, so the same wall paint colour was used for both - and for the adjoining hallway, laundry room and powder room. The original paint was dark and dated, making the space feel small despite the abundance of windows in the room. Matt & Nat also added half wall panels and a chair rail for visual interest. The dramatic wallpaper mural is the new focal of the room.
The powder room update
The original paint colour in this space was dark and dated. Matt & Nat recommended the same light grey paint colour as was used in the other rooms - partly for flow, and partly to keep paint costs down. A lightly patterned wallpaper was added for visual variety. A quick and inexpensive fix for this space!
