Who we are
Matt and Nat have been working in the renovation industry for over two decades. They’ve recently re-located to the Barrie area and are eager to take on new clients in the region!
Matt launched his career in the framing trade after attending the construction engineering technology program at Conestoga College over 25 years ago, and ran his own successful general contracting company (Matt of All Trades) in the Kitchener-Waterloo region between 2010 and 2022. He has completed dozens of kitchens, bathrooms and basements (from design through completion) - plus many other miscellaneous projects, and brings a wealth of hands-on experience to your project. Matt of All Trades also provided on-call building maintenance services (including rental turnover services) for several local rental property owners.
Before meeting Matt in 2010, Nat fell in love with doing renovations in her own homes, learning through on-the-fly lessons initially, and later from Matt, how to tackle nearly any project (and equally important: when to call a pro). Since 2010, she and Matt have bought, renovated and sold many homes - including multiple century homes, several rentals and 2 flips. Matt and Nat have done everything from simple paint and wallpaper to full “gut-jobs” - including a massive renovation of their last home that encompassed over 80% of the home’s footprint and added 200 square feet of additional living space on the second level. They also converted part of the home to a successful short-term rental.
Currently, Nat is attending a one-year woodworking/cabinetry program at Georgian College. The investment of time and money in this program is allowing Nat to hone her cabinetry skills to better serve clients with full-service solutions that include custom built-in furniture and finishes.
Matt and Nat look forward to providing you with the services you need to make your home a space you love!
